You can choose your levels.
Because life imitates art (video game in this case)
What I mean by levels
I normally write 3 pages of morning pages each morning. Today i slept in, so instead I did a 5-Minute journal. I chose to still journal, but at ‘Easy”.
THERE ARE LEVELS IN GAMES. You can choose the level you play at, easy, normal and hard being the most common. The same is true in life.
If you choose a level that is to difficult for you at the moment. You might not make any progress at all. The same it you pick to easy a level.
When picking an activity I try to find an appropriate level for my situation. Maybe that situation is a lack of time or energy, or a surplus of time or energy.
Reading an entire book might be level 9
Reading a chapter might be level 2
And reading a book summary might be level 1
Say I planned to read today, and I only have 10 minutes, instead of giving up altogether I might change the level of my reading from level 2 to level 1
Going to the gym might be a level 6
A Run a Level 4
Unrolling a yoga mat and doing some basic stretches and exercises for 5 minutes or go for a 5 minute run! -Level 1
It’s really fun to discover or design Level 1 versions of all your key activities. Sometimes you might even have the resource to do a level 2 activity after the first one.
Start small and if you can, keep going!
