TLDR;
The Free Thursday Newsletter is the Good Stuff
On previews of paid posts, I always include a tidbit of value for everyone.
There’s a paywall because; reasons.
The paid stuff is NOT for everyone.
What’s good and what’s extra.
The meat and salad of Adam’s Notes is the Thursday FREE Newsletter, which is a discussion of 3 ideas to broaden your creativity. Like this and this.
On Sundays, I send out another newsletter with a paywall. I aim to give every subscriber something of value every time they open an email. So even on letters with a paywall, look out for some tidbit of goodness.
Why the Paywall?
There are two types of things that I share behind the paywall that wouldn’t feel right for me to put out for free on the internet.
Work Stuff. Publishers get squirmish about letting out too much information about a project too early. The paywall creates an environment where I can share what I’m working on in more specificity and detail so it’s useful to you. It’s like you were at my studio and I gave you a peek at what I’m working on right now.
Expert Knowledge. I want “Coffee, Sunday?” to be a place where we exchange expert knowledge. This is the knowledge that has been hard-won either through painful experiences or purchased at a cost in the form of expensive courses or books. Because the aim is to discuss these topics in depth, it would seem unfair to our teachers and fellow professionals to make this domain knowledge/trade secrets available to everyone on the internet for free.
Who is it for?
A paid subscription to Adam’s Notes is not for everyone. It is for the serious creative professional or someone who is seriously interested in the business and craft of illustrating.
Subscribers will get;
“💌 Coffee, Sunday?” a weekly coffee-shop-themed newsletter, where we can connect and talk shop along with other ‘serious’ creatives.
Access to premium posts in the “illustration blog” - Where I dust off and showcase my notes from when I was trying to find my feet in the industry alongside new thoughts and insights.
A Subscription is also a way to support my writing. Another way to support my work is to buy my books!
