🕰 In today’s newsletter I hope to add many quality hours to your life that you could use for leisure or pursue your goals, Enjoy!
Side A:
A cigar selling at 2 for a nickle, is called a twofer.
Being stuck in traffic and listening to an audiobook is called a twofer.
I bet there are many things you’ll do today that are twofers.
Here’s some of mine:
When my wife brings me my lunch she also gives me a hug and a kiss. (Belly and souled nourished)
When I eat my lunch, I stand. (Nourishment, reduced effects from oversitting)
Friends are coming over and bringing their kids (Kids entertained, friendship maintained)
During my daily sketching time, I’ll sketch icons of things I need to draw at work later. (Leisurely drawing + progress at work)
Combining the things we plan to do, frees up enormous amounts of time.
Delivering work with twofer value makes the work worth more.
As you may know, I plan to charge for this newsletter in the future (after I complete my first picturebook this year), readers will still get the 5 daily short newsletters every week, let’s call that Side A.
Premium subscribers will get a “Side B” a daily Application, Prompt or Micro-Lesson… something extra. But for now, side B is free. 🤷🏻♂️ Share it with a friend?
Side B:
Application (Prompt)
Make a list ( you can do it privately, or leave it as a comment)
What are 3 Twofers that you are already currently doing?
What’s two more that you can do in the near future?
NEXT UP: Tomorrow I’ll tell you about a really powerful application of Twofers for illustrators, one I got from talking to a seasoned pro.
Twofer
haha this has been great! I am currently twofering by teaching, drawing and replying to you!
I have also been teaching this morning and I read and follow up on emails while my students are working in smaller groups. I also tend to prepare my following class while they work so this way, I can dedicate my time to other projects when I am not teaching.
