After delivering on two deadlines Picturebook Deadlines and having a bit of a holiday. I find myself back in the studio with a bit of a mental fog. This is from a bunch of accumulated todo’s that are floating around in my head that have yet to be captured and processed. And a bit of a backlog in newsletter related stuff.
I normally operate on a scheduled based system, allocating times for different activities to create a balance in each day and week.
For this week a big chunk of the schedule will be dealing with Tasks. But before I do that I will need to capture all the tasks from my head and process them. I use the GTD method for this.
Capture all the task in my head, if it can be done in 2 minutes do it.
Clarify the next action for each task
Organize the tasks into schedules and lists
Review and revise as I go
DO IT! - I can get hyper focused on the task ahead of me when all the mental fog has been nicely packaged into sequential actions and I know I’m working on exactly what I need to be working on now.
