The tension between where you are and where you want to be is what propels you forward. This means if you want to keep going forward you have to keep moving your goals forward. No tension no growth.
This is very similar to a post I just wrote about how there's "growth in frustration," something our pediatrician actually told us at our kiddo's 6 month check-up. As a Mom, it's hard to see him frustrated without wanting to solve the problem for him...but that's actually stunting his growth and keeping him from learning those skills.
It's fun to apply it to adults and think about how it works in our creative life, too!
