Today we’ll talk about the difference between journals and planners. And in side B, I’ll show you how to get started down this path with just a piece of paper. Share your thoughts with the other 450 Creatives who read this newsletter by leaving a comment :) - Let’s go!
Side A
Get 2 books.
1 for the Chaos. Every idea every plan dream, ambition, business idea, book idea…put it in the one for Chaos. - This is your Journal.
1 of Order. How are you actually going to make all that happen? What will you do this year, month, week, day hour. - This is your planner.
It will take time and practice to use a journal and a planner. But your ability to do so is such a powerful life skill. And if you look at the lives of the people you admire, don’t be surprised if you find that they have high competency in these skills.
Side B
Here is a hacky way to get started today. Get a piece of paper and draw a line across the middle. On the top of the left column write, “To do”. On the right column write “ideas”
If it can be done in under 2 hours, write it as an action in the left column.
Write, an email
Go, to a thing
Run, 2 miles
Things like that.
Write everything else in the right column.
Spend 95% of your time doing the things in the left column.
Action is the foundational key to all success - Pablo Picasso
I hope you liked that, I just want to remind you that in July I’m going to start charging for this newsletter. Side A will remain free. But Side B will only be for members. I really like you so I wanted to give you a taste of the side B content for FREE in advance!
