Identity based habits.
According to James Clear, author of Atomic Habits. Identity based habits are the type of habit that sticks. So instead of saying, “I want to draw in my sketchbook everyday”. “I want to submit my work to potential clients daily”.
First decide, who you want to be.
For example “I want to be a professional illustrator.” Once you’re clear on that point, you can then go out and start doing things that professional illustrators do. Proving to yourself that you are what you say you are.
Step one decide the person you want to be.
Step two prove it to yourself with consistent action every day.
Side B
