When I got really serious about illustration, do you know what I didn’t do. I didn’t quit my day job.

It’s a part-time job doing UX design for a tech company, instead, I asked for more hours. The job then worked as a financial base to build the illustration work on top off.

But here’s the thing, at some point, I started sneaking illustration work into my day job, the more this happens not only do I have a ‘stable’ day job, but it’s also sometimes a stable illustration job!

The next part is to enjoy the day job, but that’s for another note… I hope you’re enjoying this thing and having a great start to the year!

Oh I couldn’t agree more with this one…I am a Nanny here in London and Its very easy for me to illustrate while I work. I sketch the children and sketch with the children they absolutely love it. They provide me with lots of inspiration for picture book ideas and I can also work on a piece in Procreate while they play 👌🏻🤩
