You might like a song that everyone around you hates. Might feel kinda lonely.
But what if you could find all the other people who like the same song.
What if you could gather them in one place and talk about everything you loved about the song. And learn about what they love about the song.
We live in a world where it could not be easier to gather like minded people and form a tribe around what you love.
But you will need to to admit what you love.
I suppose you could also gather around a song you all hate, but that would probably not be a very fun tribe.
Gathering around love
I love that you wrote about this! I recently attended an event for my day job where everyone was just talking about all the different stuff they didn't like. It felt like people were having a conversation but no one was connecting. I pondered about this moment a lot and realized that stating you love something is vulnerable. In that sense, talking about what you don't like can feel safer than talking about what you do. BUT talking about what you like or love is necessary to forming a connection with people. Totally worth the risk in my opinion :)
