Finishing touches and family.
Picking an aim and sacrificing towards it…
Hey There!
I’m putting the finishing touches on a picturebook.
The act of doing so is a lot more intense that it sounds.
It’s like one last slow walk for me through this world that I helped create.
One final journey with the characters, leading to a final goodbye.
I’m taking a break to take my wife and daughter for a walk and for dinner.
They fuel me. As a pair, they are my target audience.
This is not a normal nine to five job. I take breaks whenever I need them and I work as much as I can. Because I love the work, and believe it’s important work. Showing kids the world as it is, and as it can be.
But mainly I love it because it lets me see and spend time with my family everyday.
I don’t get to do a lot of things, but I get to do meaningful work and spend time with family. Many little no’s to get to have two big yesses.
