Building Routine, continued…

Yesterday I kick started my Routine, starting with an Evening Routine. Most importantly I got comfortably in bed and a good night’s sleep.

Morning Routine

Now, I didn’t get my whole morning routine going but I got some of the essentials.

  1. Woke up at 4am and was in the studio 5 minutes later.

  2. Ate a protein bar (hunger makes you crazy and not the good kind)

  3. Made coffee (still decaf, I’m easing in)

  4. Spend random internet time for 40 minutes, before…

  5. Starting work on a project.

I only worked on it for 90 minutes, before I went out to have breakfast with my Family from out of town. But, Starting really helped, because then in the the afternoon when I could continue working, instead of start working, which is a BIG difference in the afternoon.

⭐️ Starting is really hard. But it’s easier with coffee, a good night’s sleep behind you, a protein bar, some unstructured time to check your messages and count your likes. (I got 5)

Hemingway reportedly had a method of ending his writing day in mid sentence. This way he would not need to start again tomorrow, merely continue.
