These are borrowed from Neil Gaiman, and maybe I miss remember it slightly, but it’s something like this.
If you find you can’t write (read illustrate), ask your self if you’re hungry. And if you are eat something. Then if it’s still not working ask, did you get enough sleep? And if not, take a nap. Most irritability can be boiled down to hunger or sleepiness. And if you’ve done all that and still can’t write take a long walk. This normally will get you out of a funk.
I’ve simplified it, to:
If you’re hungry, eat
If you’re sleepy, sleep
And if you need to, take a walk.
