022: How you'd imagine I'd be.

☕️ As new parents we visit the toy shop pretty frequently, sometimes there are other parents there. But yesterday was different, characters who are totally not what you’d expect to be in the toyshop were walking around confused by all the products trying to find something that fits their budget while having the oddest conversations. It must be December.

How you’re feeling.

You’d imagine the week would pan out a certain way. That you’d wake up at a certain time, and have a certain number of hours to get things done.

But it doesn’t work out that way.

Things come up.

So instead you get things done in whatever available hours you get.

Somehow it doesn’t feel as good. Because it’s not how you’d imagine it would be.

Until you realize, not only did you get things done, but you got to deal with the things that came up too. And even if it didn’t feel great while you were doing it. That doesn’t mean you can’t feel great now.

So feel great. Now.

🧨 It doesn’t always feel great while you’re doing it, but it might feel great when you’ve done it. And if it doesn’t you can actually just change how you feel about it.

I’m always happy to see things crossed off my to do list even if other life happenstances happened.
