“Life goals are reached by setting annual goals. Annual goals are reached by reaching daily goals. Daily goals are reached by doing things which may be uncomfortable at first but eventually become habits. Habits are powerful things. Habits turn actions into attitudes, and attitudes into lifestyles.”
-John C. Maxwell, The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth
Set these goals and try to make them habits. It’s unlikely you will get it right the first time. But you will not fail completely. Write new goals, used what you’ve learned, keep the habits you’ve built and develop new ones.
If you fail again, it will not be a complete failure. Use what you’ve learned, and keep the good habits. Write new goals…
Keep doing this, and in a few years, you’ll be able to write goals and actually achieve them, or most of them.
Don’t chase perfection. But dream and be optimistic about the future. Then go do the uncomfortable things.
