Hi There,
I’m doing a quick check-in.
👶🏼 Baby’s turned one this month, and she’s such a joy! She inspires me every day! In fact, the whole idea of an illustration career was for the flexible timing to allow me to spend more time with family. (It did take like 4 years of discipline making work and building skills to get in the door)
🙏🏼 Thanks for reading this thing! And a BIG thanks to the paying subscribers. Almost everyday I get a DM or an email from someone telling me that they appreciate the newsletter and that really encourages me. I appreciate the few minutes we share daily.
📆 I’ve tinkered a little with the format and schedule of the newsletter. I’ve made a posting schedule. So if you want to know what to expect over the course of the month, you can check that out here…
🗃 With work, I’m booked with books to illustrate till February 2023, and maybe there’s a booking for February coming through too. And it’s such an exciting range of books across genre and subject matter. I thank God for such an amazing start to this dream career. It has taken me 20 years to be ready to step into this career, but now I approach every day in the job with the vigor of a 20-Year-old.
🪑Since replacing my office chair with a workout bench and getting some proper drawing furniture I’ve not gotten any drawing related injuries. Doing all I can to prevent injuries and burnout!
Hope the year is shaping out great for you! Let me know how your’re doing!
👋 Checking in
I’ll do a post about my drawing furniture, since some of you seem interested:)
Way to go Adam! Glad to hear this good news.
